(SPRINGDALE, ARK) – Bites & Bowls, a fast-casual restaurant located in Springdale, Arkansas, has been nominated for the prestigious Siete Community Choice Award, with the chance to receive an additional $10,000 grant from the Siete Juntos Fund. Bites & Bowls is one of only seven businesses in the nation competing for this additional award.
Bites & Bowls was selected as a nominee after a thorough application process and interviews conducted by the Siete Juntos Fund. The fund, established by Siete Family Foods, aims to support and uplift Latino-owned businesses through financial assistance and community engagement.
“We are honored to be recognized by Siete,” said Laura Carrasco Quezada, owner of Bites & Bowls. “Bites & Bowls started as a dream we held for years, and with a lot of hard work and dedication, we were able to bootstrap this business from the ground up. Having a company like Siete recognize our hard work and talent makes both Sandra and I immensely proud,” added Sandra Carrasco Quezada, co-founder of Bites & Bowls.
Laura, a two-time Kiva borrower, has previously raised $21,000 through the Kiva platform with the support of Kiva NWA. These funds played a critical role in helping the sisters expand their customer base and turn Bites & Bowls into a beloved spot within the Northwest Arkansas community.
